Driving Traffic To Your Affiliate Marketing Campaign

Number one, many of you think that buyer traffic just exists.

There’s somebody on the other side of the computer that has their credit card out, just looking for an offer to buy. And if you can find that prospect via the internet, they’ll just come through your sales funnel and just buy automatically, before even seeing your stuff.

Unfortunately, that doesn’t exist, right?

Buyer traffic doesn’t exist.

What you have to do is take a prospect and turn them into a buyer. So you’d send through a sales funnel, and turn them into a buyer through building a relationship, rapport, indoctrination, and positioning yourself as an expert.

The problem is is most struggling affiliate marketers don’t know how to do this.

They just think, basically what they’re told is buy traffic from a solo ad vendor, and that solo ad vendor is going to take care of the email copy, send that prospect just straight to a landing page. Then they expect the prospects gonna fill out the email address, go to the sales funnel, go to the sales page and they’re just going to buy.

Now I’m not saying solo ads don’t work.

I’m saying, you don’t know how to properly follow-up with the prospect.

You see, the idea is understanding your prospect on a deeper level.

Their wants, needs, and desires.

What they look like, think about in the morning when they wake up and what their biggest struggles are.

You need to sort of become your prospect so you can position yourself as an authority and give them what they need and just understand them on a deeper level.

So one of the exercises that you can practice is basically taking yourself through a day of a day in the life of your prospect.

Literally, put yourself in your prospect’s shoes, and imagine you waking up, maybe the prospect has kids, maybe they have a wife, maybe they work a corporate job.

What type of issues would they run across day to day? Maybe they come home late at night and they go to their computer, and they’re trying to make money online.

Maybe they’re going to the gym, and they’re not getting the results in the gym that they want.

What are they dealing with? Once you can understand these, then you can now create forms of content in the form of video, like this, a Facebook post, it could be a text, like a blog, a form of text, and you can answer a lot of these problems that they’re having.

And so this is stage one of getting the right prospect.

Driving Traffic To Your Affiliate Marketing Campaign

Stage two is actually getting consistent leads and sales inside of your business.

So the best type of traffic is the traffic that you can create, okay?

And the traffic that you can create would be through paid ads or free traffic.

Now, if you’re somebody that’s newer or struggling, you wanna start with free traffic strategies, because there’s no risk when it comes to free traffic. The only risk that you are putting out there is your time versus your money.

I find so often that people want to, you know, fulfill this philosophy of putting $1 in and getting $2 out. And I know most of you have tried to do that with maybe Facebook advertising, other forms of advertising, and you find that you’re putting $1 in and you’re not getting any money back.

You’re putting $10 in and getting nothing back. And so with paid traffic there’s a lot of testing, there’s a lot of tracking, there’s a lot of psychology, sell psychology, that goes into it.

You need a deeper understanding of your prospect, and so the best way to start is through free traffic.

Driving Traffic To Your Affiliate Marketing Campaign

Free traffic is like a prerequisite to paid traffic, so mastering things like YouTube marketing, Instagram marketing, Facebook marketing, and SEO.

Now, specifically, what I focus on is YouTube traffic and this leads me to my next point. If you wanna succeed online and you wanna get consistent leads and consistent buyers, you need to create consistent content. You need to put out consistent content.

Most people fail because they put out content maybe every few days or every few weeks. And they don’t get the sales that they want and so they tend to just switch to a whole other traffic method.

Or they’re trying to do Facebook one day, then YouTube the next day, and then solo ads the day after that, and they never really master one traffic strategy.

You see, you’ve got to master one strategy before you move onto the next.

It can take months and even years to understand one strategy on a deeper level.

I been doing YouTube for the past five years, and I’m still learning more about the platform. So not only do you need to stick with one platform, right?

But you need to be consistent with one platform. I would recommend that you spend the next three to six months putting content up every single day.

And I promise you, if you do that, you’ll start to bear the fruits of your labor. So every time you put up a piece of content, it’s like a piece of virtual real estate.

Let’s say you’re like a real estate agent, virtually, and you’ve got these different pieces of content that represent these different pieces of virtual real estate. The more the listings that you have, the more content that you have, the more likely you’re going to sell one of those listings, right?

And so you wanna make sure that every single day that you’re putting up some sort of content that’s solving the problems of your specific market.

And you do not wanna quit. Once you master this, right, I call this the hustle phase.

The next 30 to 60 to 90, maybe 120 days, go hard, go consistent with free traffic, and I promise you you’re gonna start to see the results that you want. You’re gonna get consistent sales everyday. You’re gonna reach that $10,000 or plus income, maybe it’s 50,000, maybe it’s a hundred thousand.

You’ll begin to make huge strides towards your income goal.

Driving Traffic To Your Affiliate Marketing Campaign

The first thing that we need inside of our affiliate marketing business, is traffic, right? We need to send traffic to an offer.

Most of us know that. Traffic is simply eyeballs to a specific offer, to a sales page, to a landing page, so on and so forth.

So the first thing that we wanna do, is we wanna create a result. We wanna create a success story, we wanna build off of that success story.

So, number one, what we do is we go to a solo ad vendor or make a post on Facebook informing our audience about our specific offer.

Affiliate Marketing Sales with Solo Ads

Now, most people that are less experienced, maybe you’re somebody that’s getting started, solo ads are gonna be the best way to start.

Here’s where most people struggle when it comes to solo ads…

They’ll send out one solo ad and get a flood of leads and may or may not get any sales

Next, they’ll look at their account and notice that they didn’t make any money, and they tend to quit.

They say this thing doesn’t work. Well, they forgot the other part of the formula: most people are looking for the 20% of people up front trying to make money from them. People often forget about the 80% of people that are ready to buy later down the road.

So the first order of business is to get the offer out there to the marketplace.

Create Your First Result with Solo Ads

The next order of business, is we wanna create our first result.

If we send out a solo ad, maybe we get some sales, maybe we don’t get some sales.

That’s okay because we’re thinking longterm here.

You may want to send out your offer once again to that list that you just created from that initial solo ad.

So you’re gonna think about a different angle to email your list and let them know about the same thing. Requires a little ingenuity, just a little bit of creativity, but when you do this correctly, you begin to create results.

The idea from the get-go is to create that first result, create that first success.

Testimonials For Your Affiliate Marketing Campaign

You may be promoting an affiliate product in the weight loss industry.

What you wanna do is go through that product and become a testimonial for them.

Document the results and the progression of the results from the training that you’re getting from that specific product.

My Affiliate Marketing Campaign

So let me illustrate exactly how that works.

What I personally did, is I sent an email out to my current list letting them know about a new system that had been released to the marketplace. That allowed me to get my first result.

It allowed me to create my first $500 within one day. Now, when people create their first result, that’s typically where they stop. They don’t continue and build off of that result.

This is where consistency needs to take place. You need to be putting out content every single day, building off of that previous result.

In this case, what I did was I made one video, and I said, ‘Hey guys, I sent an email out to my list, ‘the response was amazing, here are the results that I got.’ And I’d show them my income proof. And at the end of it, I’d say, ‘Hey, if you’d like to plug into the same system, ‘just click the link below and check it out.’

Really no hard selling whatsoever, I just let the proof do the talking.

This is a method that I call ‘selling without selling’.

It’s the ability to demonstrate that your process, that your product, that your service, that whatever you’re promoting works, and showing your prospect that it works, and then just simply at the end asking, ‘Hey, would you like to learn more? ‘Would you like more information?’ And then including a link in the description of your video.

Building Off Your Affiliate Marketing Successes

So I did that in video one, I did that on video two, I did that on video three, and I made about nine videos showing the progression of the specific campaign.

The key here, you guys, is to continually build off of your previous results. What I’m doing is I’m using mediums such as YouTube, I’m using my email list, I’m exposing them to an offer, and then I’m building off of my success as a result, re-emailing my list, uploading more YouTube videos, showing the progression and my progress of the specific product that I went through.

And that’s the idea here.

If you look at my YouTube channel here, you can see the result. And this is something that anybody can do.

Episode one, I basically explain to people, ‘Hey, guys, check it out, I just ‘launched this new campaign and I wanna document ‘how it’s going here on YouTube. ‘And if you wanna join me along the way, ‘there’s a link in the description, you can do that.’

And so, what I’m doing is I’m exposing that video to my current subscriber base on YouTube, and I’m taking that video and I’m emailing that video out to my email list, okay, very simple, very easy. And then I repeated that process.

Episode two, episode three, episode four, episode five, all the way up to episode eight. And then I actually did a review on the product at the very end, showing them my overall results in 21 days flat.

So becoming a testimonial of the product is absolutely huge.

Results from My Affiliate Marketing Sales

As a result of doing this, I’ve been able to create over $18,000 in 21 days, I showed some of you guys this the other day, if you didn’t see this, you can see just by simply following this process right here:

In one income stream I generated over $13,000; in the next income stream, $970; income stream after that, $4,174.50; income stream after that, $349.90; and the income stream after that.

If we add up these two figures, that’s right around $1300 or so.

That adds up to over $18,000, you can feel free to do the math, and I hope you’re excited to go out there and implement this inside of your own business.

Contrary to popular belief that you need a ton of subscribers, you need a ton of viewers to make a lot of money on YouTube, you don’t, and I’m gonna prove that to you throughout this very case study.

If you want to make a lot of money in internet marketing and just in general, ride the trends of what’s going on in the marketplace from the health niche to real estate to making money in general.

E-commerce is super huge right now. Affiliate marketing has always been pretty popular and it’s always trending, but e-commerce is just blowing everything out of the water right now and like Shopify, and so you can easily get in the middle of that and start selling products within that specific or even implement the training within that niche.

Tons of different ways to make money with trends from current events, niches, physical products, digital products, so on and so forth.

CPA Affiliate Marketing Niche Research

In this case, we’re going to go for the weight loss niche, and actually, the keto niche is a good sub-niche, so you can create a YouTube channel all around keto products. It could be a keto YouTube channel, but this is going to be more of a general YouTube channel based around weight.

What I’m gonna do is I’m gonna click on weight loss here and I’m going to write down a few keywords on video for you. In other words, a keyword, of course, is just something that somebody’s typing into the search engine, so in this case, we need to understand the buying process of a consumer.

If somebody’s looking to lose weight, they’re gonna go to YouTube and they’re gonna type in how to lose weight or how to lose belly fat or how to get fit.

Typically, those type of people, they’re free information seekers.

CPA Affiliate Marketing Keyword Research

They haven’t yet gone down the pipeline to a point where they’re ready to buy something. They’re still in the research phase, and then what happens is they slowly inch closer and closer and closer to an actual product that they can purchase that’s going to help them lose weight, so that’s when they go and they type things like Nutrisystem review, Phen375 review, KouTea review, UltraMax Garcinia review, so on and so forth.

What we wanna do is we want to create a list of PNKs, in other words, Product Name Keywords. Write down just as many different products as we can that are on this page, and it looks like I wrote down quite a few.

Next, we want to create content around new videos because when we do this, it’s gonna be easier to get views. It’s gonna be easier to rank and we’re gonna make a lot more money a lot quicker, so the idea here is we’re gonna be creating reviews these specific product name keywords.

Then, what we’re going to do is rank at the top of the search engine. When somebody goes to the video and then they click the link in the description, we can either direct them to the product that we’re doing a review on.

Or, we can direct them to a different product, so my goal is to get a video out every single day, and I’m gonna pretty much completely outsource the whole entire process.

CPA Affiliate Marketing with Paid Ads

When consumers are going to Bing and they’re seeing ads on South Beach Diet or Trim Pill Keto and then they go to Google, they see more ads on Trim Pill Keto and then Facebook and YouTube and they see more ads. What happens is it creates this buzz effect and people will be exposed to this new product and then they’ll go back to YouTube and they’ll look for a review on the specific product.

That’s where we come into play, so we’re sort of piggybacking off of these advertiser’s advertising dollars and we’re making money on the back end, so it’s super cool because you’re not risking really any of your money with CPA marketing.

You’re not having to do a lot of testing with Bing ads and with Facebook ads and CPV and PPV, and there’s a lot of money that needs to go into these campaigns to gather data to find out what’s working and what’s not working.

Most people that are new, they just don’t have the resources to be able to do that and so this is a great way to for somebody to start and even scale to six figures.

There’s so many products it’s ridiculous, and this is just one way of finding product name ideas.

CPA Affiliate Marketing Framework

We could also go to Bing and we can type in how to lose weight, lose weight quickly, diet pills, keywords that have to do with the products that we’re going to be creating videos around in our channel, and then what we can do, we can type those keywords into Bing.

There’s ads that show up. The paid ads are at the top and at the bottom. We can actually click on those ads and we can see what these advertisers are promoting, and we can find product name ideas by doing that.

We can read the editorial and then we click through to the actual product and say, “Okay, here’s a new product that’s not on my life.” We can go ahead and write that product down, so we’re sort of reverse-engineering the process, if you will.

I don’t recommend that you copy me. I’m doing this purely as a case study.

Typically, when you release stuff like this, people are gonna go out and they’re gonna copy it. It’s just gonna happen.

I would recommend going into your own niche.

Be resourceful.

Be creative.

That is going to separate you from the marketplace.

Don’t just be like another copycat because at the end of the day, people will buy from you versus somebody else because you’re unique in the marketplace.

For example, you have somewhat of a different sales process. Yeah, you could use a framework that works, but use a different process.

Somethings to Think About…

It’s like baking a cake and having maybe slightly a little bit more sugar and then adding maybe a dash of something else and not really following the formula to the T, if you will, and so you want to apply that same methodology when it comes to internet marketing, so just be creative.

Take what I’m doing here and innovate out of it.

Think about how you could do this differently.

How can you create your videos differently, make them more engaging and separate yourself?

What kind of personality can you bring that’s different than everybody else?

Just some things to think about.

Conclusion…

What I do is go to YouTube and we’re going to start plugging these keywords in to find out the demand of each of these specific products.

If a lot of people are searching for these products right now, we might do that or we might just take the shotgun effect, just put out a lot of content.

How To Advertise On YouTube Search In 2018 With Google Ads

Today, I’m going to talk more about YouTube Ads and how to position your YouTube Ads and ultimately why you should utilize YouTube Ads.

The first reason you’ll want to do this is that you’re going to grow your channel a lot faster

And number two, you can use retargeting with YouTube Ads to really speed up your rate of success and pay a lot lower per lead and per click, and overall make a lot more money.

Specifically, I’m going to be talking about in display ads and search ads specifically.

There’s a few types of ads, and I’ve said this in past videos, but let me just reiterate this real quickly.

You have ads that show at the top of the search results and then you have ads that show before actual videos.

Different YouTube Ad Placements

If I was to click on a video that is set up for monetization, typically an ad would play before his video would play.

You got to think about the consumer.

What sort of mindset is the consumer in when they’re searching for a keyword, for a certain search phrase in other words, when they’re looking to solve a specific problem, and then what type of mind frame are they in when they actually click on one of the videos, right?

When it comes to these types of ads, I like these types of ads because they’re in the beginning of their search versus doing like an in stream ad when they’ve already clicked the video.

They’re kind of in the middle of their search and so you really have to catch attention and you really have to engage them so they watch your whole entire ad.

In-display YouTube Search Advertising

In this post, we’re going to be talking about in display search ads and not true video ads or in stream ads just to make it clear.

What I’m doing right now is I’m actually creating videos around specific keyword phrases within my niche.

I teach affiliate marketers how to become better affiliate marketers and increase their income and get over hurdles and roadblocks when it comes to making money online within this specific niche.

What I notice most people doing that are actually doing ads the wrong way is they’re just placing ads on random keywords.

What do I mean by this? Well, there’s affiliate marketing for beginners, which is what I typed in, and what you want from an ad standpoint to increase your click through rate is you want your ad, the title to say “Affiliate Marketing for Beginners.”

Here, this one just says, “How I Make Money Online.” This is Keala Kanae of Project AWOL. He’s had this ad around for quite some time.

Does this ad work? Yes.

One-Size Fits All YouTube Search Advertising

The reason why he’s doing it this way is so he can create one single piece of content and gain impressions for multiple thousands of different keywords.

He’s not having to go out and create a separate view for affiliate marketing for beginners and then how to make money online and then how to start an online business and click bait marketing videos and so on and so forth.

He’s created this sort of one size fits all video. Now he’s not going to get as many click throughs, but he’s still going to get quite a few views. You really have to pick and choose your battle.

What I like about the way that I do it, so just to kind of show you guys, please do not go to YouTube and type “Affiliate Marketing for Beginners.” I know there’s people that are going to do this anyways.

My YouTube Search Advertisement Warning

I’m putting my faith in your guys. I’m not going to show these types of videos if you guys just go and type these keywords in and then start clicking on my ads. Please do not do that.

If I notice that, I’m going to stop creating videos like this. I want to do my best to give you guys value and give you guys live case studies so you can actually see the keyword that the consumer would be typing in or the searcher would be typing in is the same title that I have right here, so it’s very congruent. People are more likely to click this video than just to skip down to this video like they would here.

Also, you’re able to kill two birds with one stone because now since I’m paying for views, you could see that this says ad right here. I’m using Google Ads to obviously pay Google to rank at the top.

What’ll happen over time is Google will actually start to reward you.

Google will start to rank you higher in the search engines for paying for ad space, right? Google obviously is a for profit company. If you just create bunch of videos and stay at the top of the search engines long term, which is actually quite difficult to do.

I mean there are niches out there that are a lot easier, but the reason they don’t make it easy for you to keep your rankings once you have rankings is because they want you to pay for ads. They want to improve the user experience, but they also want the content creator to pay for ad space.

YouTube Search Advertising Algorithm

This is another reason why they constantly have changed their algorithm is so creators like myself have to post more to gain more views. When you can’t beat them, you join them, which is perfectly fine especially if you want to scale.

What you can do is you can create a lot less content and you can scale a lot higher because you’re paying to be ranked at the top versus having to slowly build your channel up over time, and then eventually have kind of authority in your channel, be able to rank a lot easier.

This helps you sort of shortcut your success when it comes to getting subscribers, when it comes to getting views and getting leads and sales inside of your business. Also I want to add, just because you have a lot of subscribers doesn’t mean those subscribers are actually going to see your videos.

Now I mentioned in the beginning of this video to tick the bell icon to be notified of all future videos that I upload. I upload them. Now you’re still not guaranteed to receive all notifications because the way that the algorithm works now is if you’re watching a lot of videos say on like Star Wars, then you’re going to be notified of other Star Wars videos versus like affiliate marketing videos.

Getting Subscribers with YouTube Search Advertising

If you’re out there watching other affiliate marketing videos and consuming a lot of that content right now on YouTube, then YouTube’s going to show you more of my content since you’re also subscribed to my channel too if that make sense.

A lot of people are trying to get subscribers because they think that, “Okay. If I have 100,000 subscribers for example, like I’m an authority and that means I’m making a lot of money.”

It doesn’t mean anything anymore.

The goal of YouTube is to keep people on their platform. Even though you might be subscribed to somebody about, for example, baking, but yet you’re watching a bunch of Star Wars videos, you’re going to see more Star Wars videos than baking videos if that make sense.

Even if I go to like my YouTube homepage over here, I’m in an incognito window so I can get some true results over here as far as rankings and impressions as far as my ads because sometimes just on my regular browser it won’t show up here.

But if I go to the homepage, you can see that these videos are the videos that are trending and then you have like recommended videos. Typically all these videos are going to be related to videos that I’ve been watching in the past.

Best Places to Get Seen on YouTube

Homepage is a way to get a lot of views. Also, the suggested video section, which would be, for example, like on this video here on the side here, about 70% of my views come from the suggested video section. Although I can gain a lot of views from the search, most of your views are going to come from other different sources of YouTube like the homepage and also the suggested video section.

Now here’s another cool thing.

When somebody clicks on your video, there are actually three ways that people can go to your website, go to your funnels, go to your offers, whatever it is that you want to promote.

Optimizing YouTube Search Advertising with CTA

Number one is, “Hey, guys. What’s happening,” right here. Through Google Ads, you can actually set up a little ad that pops up at the beginning of your video right here, right?

This will actually eventually go away. Then whenever the consumer hovers over the button the left side, they’re going to see that ad again.

There’s a few other calls to actions that you can have as well. Another one appears at the top right hand corner right here.

What this does is when somebody hovers over it, then it’s also another link to go to my website. That’s another way that you can get people to go to your website.

The last way is having an actual button on your screen within the last 45 seconds of your video. You’ve got to have at least a thousand subscribers and be a part of the YouTube Partners Program to be able to have this pop up here.

If you want to speed up your rate of success and speed up your rate to have the ability to do stuff like this, then paid marketing and YouTube Ads is a great way to do that and doing like either search ads like ads like this or also doing in stream ads.

Now with in stream ads though, if you’re just asking people to subscribe, yeah, you can get a lot of subscribers that way with in stream ads. But the thing is is, like I said before, because of the algorithm, not everybody that subscribed is going to see your future videos.

My YouTube Search Advertising Verdict

I think this is a great way to build a relationship, and then eventually what you can do is for example, all the people that watch this video, right, that came from my ad here and watched this video, what I can do is I can retarget these people with another ad.

What’s cool about this is I pay like one to two cents per view to retarget versus going on somebody else’s random channel and then having like an in stream ad. You’re going to actually pay more for that than taking something like this, an in display ad, or even putting an ad on your own channel.

Those are a few ways that you can really lower your cost per view and you can build more of a relationship with people through retargeting.

You will pay a lot less and just create that bond a lot faster.

We’re going to go in depth. We’re going to talk about why I decided to get into CPA marketing, exactly what CPA marketing is, and if you should actually get into CPA marketing.

What is CPA?

CPA’s an acronym for cost per acquisition, so you’re actually making money when somebody takes an action, whether they enter in an email address, whether they go to a website, whether they buy something or don’t buy something, they don’t necessarily have to buy something for you to make money.

For example, what I’ve been doing for the past two weeks is I’ve been doing Bing Advertising and specifically PPC advertising or pay-per-click, so essentially what I’m doing is I’m placing an ad at the top of Bing search engine.

I’m actually paying to be ranked at the top. When somebody clicks on that ad, they go to what’s called a landing page. They’ll read the landing page, and this landing page is kind of like a pre-frame.

I can indoctrinate them into know a little bit more about our product, and then eventually go and purchase the product.

CPA Affiliate Marketing for Beginners with No Branding

The great thing about this is I don’t have to inject myself personally.

I can actually use testimonials of other people on behalf of the product, so I like it because there’s more analysis that’s involved in it and less branding on your part.

You’re actually branding the company and removing yourself from the process completely where with regular affiliate marketing and intent-based branding type marketing, you have to spend more time branding yourself, you have to spend more time building a relationship.

It takes time for people to really trust you and to buy from you, but when it comes to CPA marketing, you can basically bid on specific search phrases that have buyer intent.

My CPA Affiliate Marketing Case Study

Again, for example, one of the products that I’m actually selling in my CPA campaign, and we’ll be jumping in my computer in one of the future videos, and I’ll actually show you step by step on how this works on screen, but what I’m doing is I’m bidding on keywords or search phrases that have to do with helping people to stop snoring.

That’s one of the products that I’m promoting is I’m helping people stop snoring. When we’re thinking about snoring and people snoring, and we’re thinking about the customer and we’re having this snoring issue, what would I actually type into the computer to solve my problem?

First, you would probably “how to stop snoring” or “why am I snoring.” You might go down a rabbit hole.

Understanding Buyer Intent

You might find these different snoring devices, these different snoring chin straps. Then what you’ll do is you’ll go back to the search engine after you’ve done some research, and you’ll start typing in other search phrases around snoring.

Since you kind of learned about why you snore and you learned about how to stop snoring, specific devices, now what you’re going to do is you’re going to go and you’re going to type in those specific device names into the search engine.

Now, these specific device names, product name keywords, in other words, have buyer-intent, which means the person that’s entering this keyword most likely has their credit card in hand, and they’re pretty closed to making a buyer decision.

This is where we come into play as CPA marketers is we want to catch people at the end of the search versus the beginning. Let the other people educate them on how to stop snoring and why you snore.

Using PNK for CPA Affiliate Marketing

And then what we can do is we can actually get into a situation where they want to know how to stop snoring and they’re about to make a purchase on the device that’s going to help them, that’s when we want to bid on those specific keywords, those specific search phrases that are based around PNKs, or product name keywords, so when somebody’s typing in “stop-snoring devices,” “stop-snoring chin strap,” “stop-storing tools,” “stop-snoring remedies,” things of that nature, those are all buyer-intent based keywords and keywords that are based around specific products.

We would write down this keyword list of as many keywords as we can think of, aka search phrases, that people would type in around products that are based around snoring.

Does this make sense? That’s the idea of CPA marketing.

Testing CPA Affiliate Marketing Products

Now, not every single product or every single campaign that you’re running is based around a physical product. Some campaigns may be based around an email submit where you might be offering a free iPhone or a free gift card for somebody to complete a survey.

You could make money that way too as well, so they enter an email address, and they’ll pay you like sometimes 10 cents, 50 cents, $2, even all the way up to $15-plus just for a lead because they understand that on the back end if they can get a quality lead, that $15 that they’re paying you, they can take that lead and turn them into a buyer that’s worth hundreds or even thousands of dollars. That’s why they’re willing to pay you some money on the front end.

We’ll get into detail about certain affiliate networks that you could become an affiliate of, how to apply to these networks, how to get approved from these networks. I’ve got like three networks right now that I’m seriously working with.

My Numbers for this Case Study

I’ve made some decent income right around $440 or so from what I remember. That’s not profit, by the way. I’ve actually lost right around $400-500 overall in the past two weeks, but this is the testing phase. We’re still testing. We’re still trying to find those money keywords.

What happens is you start with a huge list of keywords, and you start running ads to these keywords. Some of these keywords are going to convert into buyer, some of them won’t.

What you need to do is you need to trash the keywords that aren’t working, which is what I’m finally doing now, and now I’m putting all my money into those keywords that I’ve converted.

Keyword Research for CPA Affiliate Marketing

Well, we can use tools like ClickMagick, CPV Labs. There’s tons of different tracking tools out there.

Another one I think is Prosper202 or something like that.

I use ClickMagick. I’ve been using ClickMagick for the past couple of years now. It’s one of my recommended tools.

One of the networks that I actually would recommend that you get started with is a network called peerfly.com. You want to get registered there. You can get registered for free. I don’t think they have an interview process.

Typically, with these networks, you have to get on the phone with the affiliate manager, and you have to tell them about your experience in the past, how many sales you’re generating right now, how much traffic you’re generating, and if you’re somebody that’s new, it’s hard to be able to qualify with certain affiliate networks.

Why I Am Teaching CPA Affiliate Marketing to Beginners

Well, I mentioned this a few minutes earlier. I’m doing CPA marketing because I, number one, I want another stream of income.

Number two is I like the fact that you don’t have to spend so much time branding yourself because, quite honestly, it takes work to do videos, it takes work to brand yourself, it takes work to put yourself out there and create content daily, which I will continue to do, but this was great to focus on in the intro when I wasn’t creating intros because it kind of gave me a new-found passion because I love numbers, I love analytics.

CPA marketing does require sort of an analytical mind where you have to learn how to be more analytical and read numbers and charts and things of that nature.

Affiliate Marketing Tips – How To Make A Consistent Income With Affiliate Marketing

Today, I want to give you guys a tip.

Those of you that are new, those of you that are struggling to create consistent sells, I think that’s one of the biggest problems of this industry, is you see a lot of people that don’t show their real results.

They look as if they’re always making $30,000, $40,000, $50,000 a month. And that just isn’t true most of the time.

Obviously, like anything, this requires work. And you need a lot of virtual assets online.

What do I mean by that? I mean that you can’t just be relying on one specific form of traffic, one specific form of generating leads and sells.

For example, YouTube is a platform that I’ve used for quite a while now. And YouTube changes from time to time. They change their algorithms.

Last month actually, September, they had over 200 updates. Right? And so I see so many people that are kind of chasing the bouncing ball down the road, trying to continuously maintain their lead flow, subscribers, so on and so forth. And it’s a lot of work.

How To Make A Consistent Income With Affiliate Marketing

And so what I’ve realized, though, because this can happen, you can’t put all your eggs in one basket. You can’t put all your eggs in the YouTube basket. You have to learn other skillsets, or have an idea of other skillsets so you can then go and outsource other traffic generating strategies.

And that’s why a lot of people stay stuck, is because they’re relying just on solo ads, or just on Facebook marketing. By the way, Facebook has made a ton of changes.

They’re just relying on Instagram.

They’re just relying on free traffic or paid traffic, so I want to shed some light in this video on this and kind of give you some clarity as to what you should expect moving forward so you know that you’re on the right path because a lot of you guys just think that you’re doing a bunch of things wrong, and you’re not necessarily.

You’re going down the right path. You just need to make a few tweaks. And you just need a little bit more experience.

How To Make Consistent Sales and Income

I was helping one of my clients last week. And we dove and we looked at his numbers. We looked at how many leads he was generating. We looked at the clicks and everything. And he wasn’t getting any sells. He was emailing his list. He was doing all the things that he was told to do, but he’s not getting results.

And it’s because we often tell people, and I’ve even said this myself, we often tell them to focus on just one method. Focus on just one strategy.

So I would say, “Hey Frank. You know what, go out there and just focus on YouTube and become a master of it. And then branch out into other strategies.”

Well, because the Internet’s changing now more than ever, it’s hard to keep up with algorithms and updates and all these different things. Instead of approaching it from an angle where you’ve got to reverse engineer the platform, which is useful if you’re somebody that’s analytical like I am.

How To Make Consistent Sales with No Experience

But somebody that’s newer, or somebody that just doesn’t have that sort of experience, or that ability, what do they do?

What you need to make sure that you’re doing is understand sort of the framework of how YouTube works. You don’t need to go in depth about back linking and SEO and viewer retention and all these different things.

If you focus on, number one, being genuine and number two providing good quality value to people and helping move them closer to the truth instead of away from the truth, people are going to find you on social media.

If you go out there on Instagram, you’re trying to game the system, you’re trying to break down the algorithm, yeah, you’re going to have some success. But you’re always going to be chasing instead of creating native content on that platform.

On Instagram, people love to see engaging videos, engaging, beautiful content, so provide content that’s native to Instagram, native to Facebook, native to YouTube.

And if you do that consistently, if you just take action, if you get your feet wet, if you get dirty, you’re going to make some mistakes. But there’s nothing better than experience.

How Not To Make Consistent Sales and Income

Instead of thinking that you’ve got to go through another course or another program to learn the latest hack, by the time you do that, that hack will be outdated, and then onto the next thing.

What you need to be doing is, don’t just jump in head first, but start just thinking about your message, thinking about how you want to position yourself in the marketplace versus everybody else.

Because what people are doing is, it’s like monkey see, monkey do. They’re like parrots, in other words, copying each other.

I’ve done it. We’ve all done it.

But if you want to separate yourself from everybody else, you have to have a refreshing message. You have to have a refreshing perspective. And if you build it, they will come. Right?

You just have to build it. You have to start putting out quality content. Stop worrying so much about algorithms. Stop worrying so much about the details and the analytics and traffic and conversions and your capture page percentages, and worry more about people.

If you just worry more about people and what they want versus what you want, people are going to buy from you. Don’t just use one platform.

Diversifying To Make Consistent Sales and Income

Maybe you generate traffic from YouTube. You get people on an email list from YouTube. And then maybe you follow up with them with a Facebook post because what we’re slowing doing is we’re indoctrinating people. We’re getting them, in other words, it’s a fancy word for getting them to know, like, and trust us.

If we just focus on slowing building that relationship over time through different social media platforms, so maybe one day I email them some content on YouTube.

The next day, maybe it’s Facebook.

There’s so many people, so much noise. People saying, “You must email every single day, and email twice a day because email’s dying.” I’ve even said that.

But what I’ve noticed from taking this break is I was able to step back and really look at how I wanted to serve people and how I wanted to run my business.

I looked at the income that I wanted to generate.

And I looked at how I wanted to run my business, and particularly how many days and how many hours I wanted to work. Right?

My Goal to Make Consistent Sales and Income with Affiliate Marketing

My regimen is to work three hours.

And my goal is to, number one, make a consistent $50,000 a month. That’s my first milestone. My next milestone will be $100,000 a month. I’ve got it all mapped out. And you guys are going to watch it happen.

I’ve actually already been implementing a lot of this stuff. And I want to do it in a way where I don’t have to be constantly … I don’t mind constantly uploading content. But I don’t want to do it in a way that isn’t enjoyable. That’s why it’s so important to speak your own message versus speak a message that maybe everybody else wants.

Now there is a caveat to that. You want to give people what they want, and then give them what you want.

I initially built my following by giving people exactly what they wanted. And then, now this video, in this case I’m giving people what I want, or what I believe that they need.

And this is the truth. It’s not about solo ads anymore. Solo ads worked years ago. And can they still work today? Yeah, they can. But it’s going to take a while. You’ve got to play the long game.

Solo ads is just a gamble.

You don’t know what list you’re buying, the demographics of that list and you can’t control your traffic.

At least YouTube, you don’t really control your traffic either because I can’t control who’s going to come to this video. But I can at least funnel people from this video, and I can sort of pre frame them and qualify them to actually work with me, so I can choose who I want to work with.

Does that make sense?

Just Be Yourself

You want to make sure that you are doing that inside of your marketing. And so just be careful with the strategies that you’re using.

Don’t put all your eggs into solo ads. Facebook or YouTube.

Make sure that you understand the framework of these platforms and make sure that you understand your message and that you’re posting quality content around that message that’s refreshing and new and different than what everybody else is doing.

And it’s easy to do that. What is your truth?

What are the lies that are being told out there?

And how can you bring people closer to the truth?
