Content Creation Strategies:
How to Create Valuable Video Content Online

Hey guys, what’s going on? Joshua Elder here. Welcome back to the channel. If you haven’t subscribed already, please consider doing so. I’m always uploading videos on a daily basis, teaching you how to build a life and business full of freedom, passion, and fulfillment. And in today’s video, I think this is by far the most important topic that we can talk about when it comes to online marketing, because we know that content is king.

I’m going to show you the process that I go through, how I create quality, valuable content, and how you can do the same thing, even if you feel like you know absolutely nothing. So, let’s go ahead, and let’s dive into the content, and I will show you my exact creative process.

The Process

Okay, so let me give you the process that I use to create content. It’s actually very, very easy. For so many years, I dealt with constant overwhelm and hitting brick wall after brick wall when it came to creating content. I’d wake up in the morning, I’d pull out my notepad, and I’m like, “Okay, this is what I’m going to create this week, these are the videos that I’m going to structure, here are the topics I’m going to talk about,” and I would hit a brick wall. I’d get writer’s block. I wouldn’t know what to even begin with or what to talk about, until I finally realized and sort of changed my paradigm, and looked at content creation from a completely different light.

And it’s as simple as this:

It’s documenting versus creating. Okay? I’m going to say that again. Documenting versus creating. Most people are trying to create, and when you create, creating requires a lot of research, a lot of work, a lot of perfectionism, and a lot of times, you never get started because you’re trying to create the perfect script for every single video that you create, instead of just putting content out there and just getting it done. So, when it comes to documenting, you feel like when you are speaking on camera, it’s so much more natural, and whatever idea that you’re talking about is still fresh in your mind. Okay?

Document Your Day

So, for example, if I’m talking about creating content, right, and I just had this big realization that I could actually observe my last day, let’s … For example, what did I do yesterday? Okay, I got up in the morning, I brushed my teeth, okay, I got breakfast, I studied some personal development. I could talk about a subject on personal development that I had learned. It’s a big part of building my business and building a business online, which is what I teach. What else did I do? I studied some cryptocurrency, studied some charts, some new ICOs, some new cryptocurrency coins that are coming out. I made some trades, that’s something that I could talk about. I educated myself on how to invest in the right cryptocurrencies, so that’s another topic that I could talk about.

So, you want to make sure that you … Whatever you’re learning, right, you don’t want to reinvent the wheel. We’re always learning new things every single day, and we could be giving those new things that we’re learning, those new concepts, those new ideas, and we could be passing those ideas down to other people and teaching them in a way where we don’t feel like we’re having to pre-plan everything, right? GaryVee is a perfect example of this. If you go to his channel — I’ll link it up in the description below — go to his channel, and you take a look at some of his videos, or mostly all of his videos, he’s documenting. He’s documenting what he’s doing at work, his travels, what he’s learning on a daily basis, how he’s growing his business, different events that are happening in his life. He has it all documented on video, so he’s not like, “Okay, this week, we’re going to start with this video, and we’re going to cover this, this, this, and this in this video,” and then have to plan it out, and then write the whole script.

Content Creation Strategies: Write It Down

I mean, it’s a lot of work, and that’s what kept me from getting started, you guys. That’s what kept me from being consistent in my business. So instead of doing that, instead of scripting, I decided to begin kind of bullet-pointing what I wanted to cover, and documenting what I had learned and what I’m learning as I’m learning it. So I think this is a great philosophy to adapt when you’re creating content, so look at your last day, look at your last week, right? And a lot of times, the creative process can be difficult, especially if you’re trying to pre-plan, like, for example, “I’m going to create three videos this next week,” or “I’m going to create a video a day.” Sometimes, you try and force content just to create it, because you feel like you need to put out content consistently every day to drive viewers, and maybe drive leads and sales in your business. But that’s a wrong way to approach it, because you’ll end up putting out content that isn’t as potent, that your audience won’t like as much, and you’re kind of tarnishing your brand.

Feel Inspired

So, what you want to do is, when you’re inspired, when you’re motivated, when you have an idea, or something that you learned that just popped into your head and it’s fresh, you can just be more on purpose, jump on camera, and shoot a video right then and there, versus trying to pre-plan everything. Because if you’re pre-planning everything, you don’t know what’s going to happen over the course of the week that you could be documenting, that may be transformational for your audience, versus trying to create everything when an event that you want to talk about has yet to happen, and so you’re ending up going out there and trying to do all this research, and trying to pre-plan everything, and it just becomes a whole heck of a lot more work.

So I want to inspire you this week, what I want you to do, I don’t care if you’re creating three videos this week, if you’re creating five videos, seven videos, forget about how much content you need to create, and create content when you’re only inspired, right, and when you’re growing. When you’re growing and you’re learning things, you’re going to have more content to create, so if you’re running into a brick wall because you feel like you have no value to give to the world and no content to create, chances are it’s probably because you’re not learning, you’re not growing. So be mindful of that, be aware of that. If you’re not educating yourself daily on what’s going on in your marketplace, going on in your niche, if you’re not reading books, if you’re not studying even other YouTube videos out there, other content, that’s probably the reason why you’re not … Why you’re running into writer’s block, why you’re not coming up with new content, is because of that.

Content Creation Strategies: Conclusion

So, make sure, guys, as you go through your week, go through your days, keep in mind to document, don’t create, and you’ll find that your content flows a lot better. You’ll find that you have to script less. All my videos are pretty much completely non-scripted. I jump on video, and I speak from the heart, and I speak when things are super fresh in my mind, and when I have a breakthrough, and the content comes across a lot more clear for my audience, they get a lot more value from it, and the process is a lot easier. So, with that said, this is Josh Elder signing off. If you got value from this video, give me a thumbs-up. Comment below. What’s your creative process like? Did this video make a difference in your creative process, and hopefully overcome those obstacles that come into play when creating content? Let me know below.

How To Do Keyword Research For Youtube – Video Ranking Tutorial 2018

Hey, what’s happening? Joshua Elder here and welcome back to the channel. If this is your first time here, consider subscribing by smashing that red subscribe button below. And don’t forget to tick the bell icon to receive updates on future videos that I upload when I upload them. The topic of this video is how to do keyword research with YouTube. I’m actually going to give you two ways that you can do keyword research with YouTube, so let’s go ahead and let’s dive into the content.

What Is Keyword Research

I’m assuming most of you know what keyword research is, but for those of you that don’t, it’s basically the concept where the idea of finding out what a consumer is typing into YouTube or Google. What most people are doing is they have an idea of content to create, and they really don’t know if that is a topic that’s in demand. If I’m talking about underwater basket weaving, are people actually interested in that? If I’m talking about sailing with submarines, right, people probably aren’t typing that in. What we want to do, is we want to find out the demand of a topic and then we want to supply them with an answer, right, basic economics, supply and demand. We can use keyword tools such as YouTube itself, and we can also use this other keyword tool called keywordtool.io, where going to be talking about both of these within this video.

First off, what we want to do is, we want to start with a general keyword that represents our target market. Let’s say weight loss, I always use weight loss as an example, that market as an example because it’s such a humongous market. What I’ll do is I’ll just start typing in weight loss, and as I’m typing this specific key phrase in, you’ll notice that we see weight loss, weight loss journey, weight loss transformation, weight loss motivation, weight loss tips, so on and so forth. YouTube is basically telling us what people are typing into their search engine.

How To Perform Keyword Research

What I typically do is, I start by brainstorming different keyword ideas around my specific market. What I would do is, I would write down all of these keyword here. Then as I begin to enter more keywords in the keyword phrase, you’re going to notice if I type in workout, we got workout at home, workout for men, workout routine, workout for women at home, so on and so forth. Then I would just write down all these keywords too as well. I mean you can spend hours upon hours writing down different keywords. But here’s the idea, we want to go for what we like to call long-tell keywords.

Long Tail Keywords

These are keywords that have at least five or more keywords in the keyword phrase. Now remember, a keyword is just anything that’s typed into the search engine. So weight loss workout’s a key word. Weight loss workout for beginners is another keyword. But if you notice, if there’s more keywords in the keyword phrase, it gives you more information about the customer and exactly what they want.
There’s a huge, significant difference between weight loss workout and weight loss workout for women at home. You understand that it’s a woman that’s looking for a weight loss workout, and they also want to do a weight loss workout from home or at home. These are the type of key phrases that we want to go for. For example, if it’s weight loss workout for women at home, what I would do is I would create a video around that specific keyword because YouTube is telling us that this is a keyword that’s in demand, that people are typing into the search engine.

Gathering Keyword Search Data

If you want to get more technical, what you can do is you can jump over here and I will leave a link in the description below to this specific keyword planner here, and it’s actually better than the regular free Google keyword planner, because it gives us more accurate data. It doesn’t just give us data as far as what people are typing into Goggle. When you use the Google keyword planner, you can go to obviously google.com, type in Google keyword planner, and it will pull up as the first result. Now that keyword planner is specifically for Google search engine. YouTube used to have a keyword planner for YouTube search engine, but they no longer have one, so this tool is going to be your next best bet and it’s incredible.

How To Do Keyword Research For Youtube – Keywordtool.io

If I go to this keywordtool.io, and again, I’ll link up a link in the description, so you can just go ahead and click that and come here. You’ll notice that I already typed in a key phrase, how to lose weight without exercise. What we’re going to do is we’re going to delete that and we’re going to paste weight loss workout for women at home. We found this specific long-tell keyword phrase, we’re going to plug it into the keyword tool here. Of course our country is United States, english, and then we’re going to click search, and check it out. It’s going to tell us that this specific key phrase gets 3236 searches into YouTube per month. I want you to imagine, if you’re somebody that’s a weight loss consultant that’s a possibility of over 3000 views to your video every single month.

Then what you can do is you can choose to send them anywhere you want. You can have them click a link in the description and they can go to your website. They can get access to a free report, and they can get access to a product, maybe you’re selling a product the description of your videos. There’s so many different things that you can do, and this is just one keyword amongst hundreds and thousands, hundreds of thousands, and millions of different keywords out there.

Summary

Here’s what you want to do guys, to summarize, you want to go to youtube.com, you want to pick a general keyword that represents your target market, your niche, start typing in that keyword. You’ll start to get other keyword ideas from that initial keyword, and once you find a long-tell keyword that has at least five keywords in the keyword phrase, take that keyword, head over keywordtool.io, and you want to check the demand. You’ll notice this one gets over 3000 searches.

I typically like to go for keywords that have anywhere between 1000 all the way up to 10,000 plus searches per month. If you’re just getting started out, it’d be better to go for keywords that have less search volume, because there’s less competition, and it’s going to be traditionally and generally, it’s going to be easier to rank for keywords that have less searches.

Hope you got some value from this video. Go ahead and like this video if you got a ton of value from it. Comment below if you have any questions. And I’ll also leave a link in the description, we’re actually going to detail on how to build a business using and leveraging the YouTube platform. We dive deeper into how to rank videos. What you need and your title, description, your tags of the video. We’ll go deeper into keyword research, and the difference between short-tell and long-tell, and the difference between general keywords and actually buyer keywords where people have credit card in hand ready to buy.

I’ll link up that free webinar, it’s actually a free webinar in the description below, so you’ll want to check out the resources section. And again guys, comment if you have any questions, any feedback, give me a thumbs up. Most importantly, don’t forget to subscribe to this channel. Again, I’m uploading videos on a daily basis to help you build a life and business full of freedom, passion, and fulfillment. This is Joshua Elder signing off and we will see you in the next video. How To Sell Products On Youtube

Joshua Elder: Hey guys, what’s going on? This is Joshua Elder from joshelder.com. And in this video, I want to show you how to sell products on YouTube. And this a topic that I can definitely talk on because I’ve been selling products on YouTube for the past three years, believe it or not. I worked in retail jewelry for about seven and a half, eight years, and it was YouTube that allowed me to quit my job, and go full time and sell products using this specific platform.

Now, I’m going to give you some tips, some advice, and how to leverage the YouTube platform to sell products. And if you haven’t already, make sure you subscribe to this channel. I’m always uploading videos on a daily basis that will help you build the life in business full of freedom, passion, and fulfillment, so make sure you do that. And let’s go ahead and dive into the content.

Identify Your Target Market

So, number one, the first thing that you need to do is you need to identify your target market. Who is it that you’re speaking to? Who’s your avatar? Who’s your ideal customer? What I want you to do is, I want you to take a pad and a pen, and I want you to write down exactly what would your ideal prospect be typing into Google or YouTube search engines. So go ahead, pause the video and take a few minutes, and I want you to write down a list of 10 possible search phrases that your potential prospect or your potential client would type into youtube or google. So make sure that you really think about this. Get in their head. Think about what they think about when they get up in the morning. They brush their teeth, they take a shower, what are they thinking about when they drive to work? Do they have a job? Do they stay at home? What is it they do? What is it they’re thinking potentially at each point of the day?

Go ahead and write that down, and then after you write that down what you want to do is you want to start to construct a video around that specific problem within your niche. Don’t construct a video to answer every problem. You want to identify the specific micro problems and create content around them. What most people are doing is they create a piece of content and they just sell, sell, sell without any value whatsoever. So what you want to make sure that you’re doing is you’re using the strategy that I like to call selling without selling. Okay? So you’re providing value, and by providing value you’re instantly positioning yourself as an authority, and the people start to take you seriously. They know that you’re an expert and they’re more than likely to buy your products when you make a call to action at the end of your video.

How To Sell Products On Youtube – Content Is King

So content is key here you guys. Make sure that you write out a list of problems, you write out specific sub topics that you could be talking about within these problems and then what you want to do is you want to leave people wanting more of your information, and then what you can do is you can construct a webinar, you can send people to a sales page, you can send people wherever you want and what I would do is I would include a link in the description of your video telling people exactly where to go to get more information.

So the purpose of creating content is to really preframe them for what’s to come. Get them excited to digest more information and as they do that, they will automatically sell themselves. And so I’ve been highly successful by sending people straight to other people’s offers. Sending people to my own offers. Sending people from free training like this training that I just gave to you to maybe a webinar where they can get more of their questions answers and get a full look and a full idea of the steps they need to take next to ensure that they succeed with whatever it is that they’re looking to succeed with, so in your case, you want to be able to sell your products and services on youtube.

So what I’m going to do is I’m going to leave some resources in the description below that will help you accomplish just that. I’ve got a full formula laid out showing you how to script your videos, what to say in your videos, and how to rank youtube videos on the first page of google and youtube. How to get an endless amount of customers and leads inside your business daily using cost free youtube advertising strategies. So if you got value from this video, please like this video. Please comment below if you have any questions and most importantly, give me a thumbs up and subscribe to this channel, because I’m always uploading videos on a daily basis that will help you in every area of your life, and really helping you achieve full health and wealth, so appreciate you guys for watching this video. This is Josh Elder signing off, and we’ll see you in the next video.
